The bees are slowing down for the season, but the club is heating up!  Things to remember and maybe act on in the next few weeks:

• Book Sale — Get your copy of Storey’s Guide to Keeping Honeybees by Malcolm Sanford for the low price of $12.50.  (We need 16 buyers to get that price.)  This is the only book available about beekeeping in Florida, so it’s truly a must for your library.  Please bring cash or check to the December meeting and talk to Cecelia to place your order.  
• Membership Drive — New members who sign up before the end of 2014 will be included in a raffle for all the wooden ware for a new beehive (see photo).  Memberships are $12 for individuals or $18 for a family (any number from the same household; receives 2 chances in the raffle).  See Kim and Susan at the December meeting to join or complete the attached New Membership App 2015 and mail it in by the end of Dec. 
• Election — We’ll elect officers for 2015 at the December meeting.  If you are interested in serving the club in this way, please email Janice before the meeting.
• Holiday Potluck — Other than elections, the Dec. meeting will primarily be about celebrating the end of 2014 and our hopes for 2015.  Please bring a dish to share!
